Armani house enters decoration sector

Giorgio Armani has extended his design brilliance to interior decorating with tremendous success. The mastermind of modern fashion started his journey in 1975 in Milan and has conquered the world since then, not only with one of the most desired brands of clothing available, but also with restaurants, bars, libraries and florists that display the distinctive Armani touch and carry the Armani name worldwide. In 2000 the talented stylist opened Armani Casa, a branch specialised in the designing of sophisticated furniture, with products ranging from cutlery and decorative details to complete kitchens and bathrooms.

The stupendous success of this new venture was built on the fact that Armani brought high-class interior décor within the reach of a far greater audience. Impressed, Adrien Brody asked his friend Giorgio for help redecorating his new dream house – a work that’s still in progress: “It’s never going to be finished. It’s a life project, whether I like it or not! I think that there’s beauty in that, in acknowledging that something can never be really finished. I think that this farm can constantly evolve.”

Hooked, Armani has since joined the ranks of Philippe Starck, Jade Jagger and Jean Nouvel in accepting to take responsibility for the interior of an entire resort of apartments. Rome’s Cavour 220 is a sophisticated residence project containing 63 full-service apartments aimed at the world’s most discerning clients. Armani states that his intention was to “create a comfortable modern living environment within a historical framework.” A full-time concierge service will be on hand to deal with the demands of a high-end clientele, whether it’s organising airport transfers or locating a specific bottle of vintage wine.

Armani next plans to opens his own hotel chain, Armani Hotel. We reckon it’ll be worth the trip.
