José Ribes Bas, CEO of Valencia and Jávea-based Inmobiliaria Rimontgó, was recently on a business trip to London, where he visited one of the most exciting ever Christie’s sales, at which a total of three works sold for over £10 million.
The week’s auctions of Impressionist and Modern Art secured the highest ever total for the category in London, producing a record-breaking week for Christie’s. A world record price was paid for British artist and sculptor Henry Moore’s Reclining Figure: Festival, 1951, which sold for £19.1 million, also making it a world record price for this artist at auction.
