While the answer to that one has not yet been found, leading oenologists are the alchemists of our times – creating the ‘Nectar of the Gods’ out of the soil of south-western France.
The southwest of France is an area with one of the most prestigious traditions of any winegrowing region in the world. Wine has been produced here since classical times, and its vintages have long since counted among the very best in the world. Names such as Chateau Rochebelle, Chateau Latour and Chateau Lafitte Rothschild are internationally revered and add a distinctly aristocratic air to this region. Representative of the very finest quality and refinement, they personify the concept of wine both as a tradition and as an art.
Liquid alchemy is an article from Reality Sense, the blog by Rimontgo Luxury Homes

These days every British town, however small and insignificant, can boast at least one Chinese, Indian and Italian restaurant. However the latest culinary craze to find favour is the Spanish tapas bar.
London-based José Pizarro originally trained as a chef in Cáceres, Extremadura, before moving to Madrid and the award-winning Meson de Doña Filo. After relocating to London, Pizarro became the Chef Partner at the popular Tapas Brindisa in the city's Borough Market for five years and in 2008 opened the highly praised Tierra Brindisa in Soho and Casa Brindisa in South Kensington.
A little bit of Spain in London is an article from Reality Sense, the blog by Rimontgo Luxury Homes

Since Quique Dacosta’s Mercatbar was very much on our ‘to-do’ list we were happy to abandon our original plans and give this very Spanish interpretation of the deli-cum-gastro-bar concept a try.
Quique Dacosta
Much like his Andalusian contemporary Dani García, Quique Dacosta is a young Michelin-star chef who early in his career established a reputation as an exciting new talent. Like his colleague, Dacosta has honed his skill as a talented and innovative creator of modern dishes – someone who leads the way in the new world of cuisine – yet he also shares a passion for those traditional recipes and ingredients that form the basis of Mediterranean cuisine.
The Mercatbar, a haven for foodies in Valencia is an article from Reality Sense, the blog by Rimontgo Luxury Homes

At a time when construction, finance, IT and many of the other economic staples of recent times are suffering severe contractions it is good to note that there are still sectors out there that are showing impressive growth. The fact that some of the most successful drivers of growth are in the Valencia region, and that they focus on sustainable industries such as agriculture, makes it even better news.
The fast-growing supermarket chain – also from the Valencia region – was searching for a partner that would work closely alongside it in providing a wide range of fresh, unprocessed vegetables that offer a healthy nutritional option combined with ease of preparation in fast-boil, microwave, grill and ready-to-eat variations.

Yet, as this internationally renowned culinary wizard has proved once again, only the reckless or extremely stupid would underestimate the talent of this remarkable king of the kitchen.
Adrià's La Comida de la Familia (The Family Meal: Home Cooking with Ferran Adria) should appeal to everyone, since all of the recipes featured are inexpensive and can be prepared quickly. This combination of affordability and convenience has already resulted in this handy guide to imaginative domestic cooking being translated into twelve different languages, although more and more countries are bound to embrace the concept.

While the BBQ has undergone a complete transformation over the past couple of decades, with gas-powered versions allowing amateur chefs a great deal more scope for invention, the usual combinations of meat and fish are still the most common dishes.
Everyone loves a BBQ, a barbi, a barbacoa or a cookout (choose any one of these terms depending on your nationality or cultural affiliation) and the Spanish summer generally marks the point at which the men of the family actually welcome donning an apron and helping out with the cooking – yet Spain has another weapon in its outdoor eating armoury.

This popular valenciano dish is a particular lunchtime favourite with Spanish locals, although those who are serious about their paella like to impose their own quality control, purchasing ingredients at Valencia's bustling Mercado Central and taking them home to be cooked in the well seasoned family paella pan.
Eating paella in Valencia is an especially happy experience, since this city is the home of this famous Spanish dish and locals are vociferous about what constitutes a ‘true’ paella, eschewing the seafood creations often seen on the Costas for the traditional valenciano recipe of chicken, rabbit or duck and snails. The consumption of snails, or caracoles, is often considered a French peculiarity, but the citizens of Valencia are as dedicated to it as any Parisian.
The best of paella, Valencia style is an article from Reality Sense, the blog by Rimontgo Luxury Homes
