Ferrer's victory over Juan Martín del Potro in the final is widely believed to be one of the defining points of the championship and left his compatriot, Rafael Nadal, in an excellent position to seal the title.
Everyone who knows anything about David Ferrer knows that there are few things that he loves more than returning to Javéa during his rare periods of rest. However, the scale of his successes in 2011 has resulted in the whole town uniting to welcome him home for Christmas.
David Ferrer gives Javéa an extra Christmas present is an article from Reality Sense, the blog by Rimontgo Luxury Homes

Anyone who wishes to be part of this event should gather at the Placeta del Convento at 10am to register. There will be plenty to entertain the youngest entrants, including music, a face-painting workshop and other surprises.
Jávea gets ready for Christmas is an article from Reality Sense, the blog by Rimontgo Luxury Homes

The final gladiatorial battle resulted in the boy from Manacor in Mallorca beating Argentina's Juan Martin del Potro 1-6 6-4 6-1 7-6 (7-0) in a thrilling final in Seville. This victory was Nadal's sixteenth successive Davis Cup win on clay and gave Spain an unbeatable 3-1 lead.
The Spanish team should enjoy the participation of its key player while it can, since his 2012 commitments mean that Nadal will be taking the year off from the Davis Cup.

Born in Jávea, the young midfielder was snatched up by the scouts of Villareal, an ambitious team from the east coast town of Castellon that was to reach the top of the Spanish Liga and challenge for the title during much of the 2000s. Having spent his entire apprenticeship at Villareal, Torres broke through into senior professional level at Alicante CF, the second club of the city.
Xavi Torres, Javea born and bred is an article from Reality Sense, the blog by Rimontgo Luxury Homes

In order to get this historic race off to a flying start Laird Hamilton, famous surfer and paddle boarder and Puma Ocean Race partner, rode on the Mar Mostro until the starting gun was fired, at which point he jumped ship and was picked up by a further vessel bearing his customised PUMA-Laird paddleboard. Laird then paddle boarded out to sea in the wake of the race competitors.

The new camino was inaugurated in an appropriate manner, with members of the Trail Association setting off on an enjoyable and memorable 30-kilometre hike between the Ontinyent and Aforins de Fontanars. This reminder of the beauty of the landscape will spur them on to prepare the next stage of the journey to Santiago, the historic old town that celebrates Spain's patron saint, St. James.

Also known as kiteboarding, this is an extreme sport that is gaining popularity across the globe.
If you're curious to hear a bit more about kitesurfing, look no further, but beware - I don't claim to be an expert! This sport has been described as a combination of wakeboarding, windsurfing, surfing, paragliding and gymnastics, which is a lot to pack into one sport! The surfer uses a board, with no foot-straps or binding, attached to a kite to propel themselves across the water. Any large open body of water with good steady winds of about 10 to 35+ knots is suitable for kitesurfing. It usually takes place off the beach but can be enjoyed on lakes and other bodies of water, as long as they are big enough. As the sport relies on the right weather conditions, certain locations tend to become kitesurfing -hot-spots-.
The cure for anything is salt water – sweat, tears, or the sea ~Isak Dinesen is an article from Reality Sense, the blog by Rimontgo Luxury Homes
