Valencia region 
January 2010 saw average overall property prices in Spain rise for the first time in 24 months, albeit at a very modest 0.6 per cent. Within this trend, the Valencia region was among the better performers in the country, registering an increase of 2.2 per cent on the month before. It heralds the beginnings of a gradual recovery in a region whose property market is blessed with optimal diversity that includes important primary, secondary and commercial sectors.

The Palacio Hotel, Estoril’s famous classic venue, played host to the annual meeting of the European Real Estate Network (EREN) this September past. Just as autumn was setting in across Europe, the 20 member agents from nine countries arrived to the welcome sun and mild climate of the Estoril coast – still the original Portuguese Riviera.

Rhode Island, long established as the home of some of the finest real estate in the world, seems to be in the vanguard of the revival of the luxury property market. Its otherwise buoyant market dropped off in the immediate aftermath of the financial crisis of late 2008, but the early signs point to 2010 as the year in which this region regained its dynamism.

There is a saying that proclaims that it is impossible to discern the road ahead clearly until one acknowledges the previous path taken.
If this is truly the case, then Rimontgó has acted wisely by compiling a beautifully designed book that details the company’s history, from 1890 when Mateo Ribes Simó, great grandfather of the Ribes brothers, set up a business to export fruit to different parts of Europe, to the breathtaking international properties that currently comprise its enviable portfolio.

Rhode Island has been inextricably linked with the music industry since 1959, when Theodore Bikel, Oscar Brand, Pete Seeger, George Wein and Albert Grossman organised the first Newport Folk Festival.
This iconic musical gathering has been instrumental in launching the careers of a number of artists, most notably the legendary Joan Baez, who appeared at the very first festival as an unannounced guest of Bob Gibson and went on to shape the future of American folk music as much as her erstwhile lover, Bob Dylan.
