Anyone who has lived on the Costa del Sol and felt at any time that they have, to use the popular phrase, ‘a book in them’ will love Deadly Secrets, the first novel from the pen of Robert Tenison.
This is the pseudonym of local author, Rod Younger who has been able to use his extensive experience in the property industry (not to mention his MBA from prestigious Cranfield University) to bring his plot to life.
The story revolves around Andy Montalvo, ex-Head of Scotland Yard’s Serious Fraud Office, who plans to go into the property development business with his old friend, Mike Cameron. When Cameron is murdered it’s up to Andy, with some help from the glamorous undercover police officer, Cristina Ibañez to find out what – and who – was behind his friend’s murder.
The novel cracks along at a lively pace and readers are guaranteed some top quality entertainment as Tenison reveals the ins and outs of the property development business.

Like most writers Younger is a fanatical reader. He names Bill Bryson and David Lodge as his favourite authors, although the plot and pace of Deadly Secrets would lead one to assume a fanatical dedication to Frederick Forsyth and Robert Ludlum! Lovers of a good thriller will be delighted to learn that, along with Forsyth and Ludlum, Tenison is also available via Amazon.
The name Robert Tenison might be new to the field of crime writing, but he has already built up quite a fan base. He was thrilled recently to learn that Deadly Secrets was being read by Baroness James of Holland Park – better known as doyenne of British crime writing and creator of Adam Dalgliesh, P.D. James.
