An atmosphere of serenity

The 11-month long Las Viñas golf series culminated in July at the glorious El Bosque golf course, just a short distance from the Spanish city of Valencia. Designed in 1975 by Robert Trent Jones, it is unique in its structure. For over twenty years now, the attractive golf course has increased its reputation as a top-notch course to which both professional and passionate amateur players travel every year. Crossed by a gulley from side to side, its wavy lines allow for an interesting game: it is set on a 6,249-metre long plot with a par 72.

At the foot of the mountain, overlooking the beautiful panorama of Valencia city, the 18 holes of this luxurious golf course combine Mediterranean vegetation with an exotic location for a charming variety of surroundings, all set under the warm Spanish sun. The designer intended that it would be accessible to anyone with a wish to take up golf, yet at the same time, challenging enough for professionals to play here too. Perfect for hosting high-level competitions, the stimulating fairways are dotted with ponds and small wooded areas, strategically placed as obstacles along with numerous sand traps, for an even trickier game.

However, El Bosque is more than just a golf course. The resort is home to numerous stunning villas, among which are some of the most luxurious in Valencia and its surroundings. The peaceful streets separating the homes are perfect for a leisurely afternoon stroll in the sun and combined with the available services it makes this a slice of paradise only a few kilometres away from vibrant Valencia.

The Golf Social Club is the heart of this intimate community and its 4,000m2 clubhouse offers everything from a café and restaurant to a well-equipped games room and sauna. And of course there is the golf club itself, which offers various practice areas and classes, with its chipping and putting greens, and approach and practice bunker zones.
