Now that summer is at its height the very cultural town of Javea has decided to celebrate the season with a full-scale celebration of the Arts. On 26th, 27th and 28th of August the town will enjoy the best of architecture, the plastic arts, theatre and music. The participation of more than 80 artists means that visitors to this festival will have to plan their time carefully if they are to experience everything.
The programme of events was largely initiated by artist Alvaro Tamarit, with a view to combining the talents of the many local artists and performers who have an interest in the artistic life of Javea. The three rooms that will host these events will be open every evening from 20:00 until midnight and it is hoped that interest will extend beyond the local community to include the many visitors that flock to the town in August.
