EREN meet in Sardinia

EREN meeting in SardiniaThe principals of the leading pan-European property firms that make up EREN met in Sardinia between 21 and 22 May to agree on new initiatives and strategic planning for the year ahead. The stunning backdrop was provided by Porto Cervo, where the azure waters of the Mediterranean vied for attention with the glamour of this illustrious pleasure port along the North Sardinian coastline.

When not working the delegates therefore had more than enough to entertain them, while being looked after in style by the staff at the Sheraton Cervo Hotel for the rest of the time. An intensive schedule of topics was covered during the two days, during which members from across Europe reported back on the progress made and initiatives undertaken since the last meeting in Estoril, discussed the next stages of new joint projects and welcomed fresh members to the organisation.

As befits an organisation of its status, EREN (the European Real Estate Network) is becoming an increasingly effective, relevant and beneficial organisation, as has been borne out by the rise in cross-border sales generated through EREN and completed in what is an increasingly seamless and efficient intra-member service to international clients. Such cross-border or cross-continent sales often involve top-end real estate in leading international locations.

Peter Marschall and Rimontgo's Jose Ribes

EREN President, José Ribes Bas of Inmobiliaria Rimontgó in Valencia, congratulated the members for their successful cooperation, mutual support and the enthusiasm shown for the ongoing initiatives that are aimed at further developing and fulfilling potential, and making this elite collective of real estate agents one of the most effective and highly respected of its kind in the world. Among the points on the agenda were decisions regarding the distribution and continued evolution of the ever-improving Villae Magazine, the stylish bi-annual luxury lifestyle publication of EREN.

A prominent place was taken by the newly redeveloped website www.europeanrealestate.org, the new features of which were presented to members by Rimontgó’s IT expert Ignacio Artagoitia. The remainder of the time was dedicated to real estate issues such as the presentation of a select portfolio of luxury international property developments handpicked to be offered for sale through the network. Market reports and future trends were analysed and expanded upon against a background of personal local experience on the ground, this process forming the basis for the organisation’s strategic plan for the coming year. Porto Cervo proved to be not only a convivial setting in which to meet up with colleagues and friends, but also formed fertile ground for a host of new ideas and proposals that together enable EREN and its members to constantly evolve their approach and stay at the forefront of developments in the luxury real estate market.
