Valencia CF selects Mariner as company with international visibility

The Valencian company Mariner, specialised in handcrafted luxury furniture and lighting, has been selected as winning company in the fourth round of a pioneer project, sponsored by the Valencia CF. Aim of the project is to give international visibility to distinct SMEs of the Valencian Community. Winning this competition means a great deal of support for Mariner, giving its international profile an important boost.

Valencia’s best interior design

The furniture sector has for many decades, with a few ups and downs inherent in any industrial sector, had great importance among companies of the Valencian Community. Thus, it comes as no surprise that Valencia also is one of Spain’s leading cities in interior design. The activities of its Colegio de Diseñadores de Interior de la Comunidad Valenciana (Association of Interior Designers of the Autonomous Community of Valencia), enjoy wide international recognition and bring together a great number of interior designers.

Porcelanosa’s architecture and interior design awards

On 22 May the internationally renowned Valencian firm Porcelanosa held their annual gala to recognise national and international professionals from the field of architecture and interior design. This year the event took place at the Casino in the Calle Alcalà Madrid and brought together 250 guests.

Tour of Javier Goerlich’s residential architecture

New York pays homage to architect Rafael Guastavino

The museum of the City of New York will show a complete retrospective of the Valencian architect Rafael Guastavino’s legacy, under the framework of the exhibition ‘Palaces for the People’. Guastavino, although born in Valencia in 1842, developed his studios in Barcelona. In 1881 he emigrated to the US, accompanied by his son (also called Rafael, who over the years, also came to work hand in hand with his father), in the search for opportunities in the architectural sector, as he could find any in Spain, although he had already realized important projects like the La Massa Theatre in Vilassar de Dalt.
