Number 22, 5th Avenue New York, to be precise, the building Commodore Criterion, has been chosen by the Porcelanosa group for its new flagship store in Manhattan.
The design studio Foster + Partners, led by renowned British architect Norman Foster, has conceived the reformation of this iconic building from the beginning of the 20th Century, among the listed properties in the city of New York.
With a surface area of 2,000 square metres, Porcelanosa’s new store will be distributed over six floors. Thanks to its location at the corner of 5th Avenue and Broadway, it will automatically become a reference point in the Flatiron district, within which it is located.
Its clear orientation towards a professional audience, the first floors of the building will be dedicated to the products of the eight companies that make up the Porcelanosa Group, while the upper levels will comprise offices, meeting rooms and an ample space for conferences, seminars and exhibitions.
The new flagship store of the Valencian company in New York will be the 24th shop of Porcelanosa to open in the United States, where the company, with headquarters in Villareal, also features a network of more than 500 authorised distributors.
