The renovation project of the old Paseo Amanecer del Arenal, situated in the town of Javea, on the Costa Blanca, in Alicante, has been selected as the finalist in the 7th Porcelanosa Awards for Interior Design and Architecture. The new promenade, which today is called after the tennis player David Ferrer, is the result of the collaboration between the architects Emilio Vicedo Ortiz and Manuel Lillo Navarro. Among the finalist projects the proposal by Valencian architect Fran Silvestre also stood out, Casa del Acantilado, winner of such important prizes as the Red Dot Award in the category for architecture.

The Porcelanosa Awards for Interior Design and Architecture will be handed out during an evening event, which will take place in of Madrid’s emblematic buildings, the Casino on 15 calle Alcalá road, which boasts a prestigious restaurant led by chef Paco Roncero. Over 170 projects were presented for the occasion of the 7th Porcelanosa Awards. The group of judges included professionals such as Francesc Rifé, Daniel Libeskind, Héctor Ruiz-Velázquez, Raquel Chamorro and Olivier Lapidus, who will be in the position of choosing the winning project in the category realized and future projects.
