The motorcycle racer Nico Terol, born in Alcoy, will once again represent the Costa Blanca at Grand Prix’s taking place around Spain. This way, and thanks to the renewal of the “Nico Terol Race by Costa Blanca” campaign, the Provincial Council of Tourism will have an information stand at all the circuits of the different races on the national championship calendar, in order to give people more information about the municipalities that make up the coastal area of the Valencian Community.
Aim of this campaign is to promote national and international tourism to the Costa Blanca, taking advantage of the far reach of these races. The Valencian motorcycle racer, winner of the 125cc World Championship in 2011, will take part in different activities, taking place during these events.
Both Luisa Pastor, president of the Council of Alicante, and Tourism representative, Joaquín Albadalejo attended the renewal of the agreement with Nico Terol, who is currently competing in the Moto2 World Championship as part of the Mapfre Aspar Team. Nico Terol himself said at the presentation of the agreement, ‘It is a true honor to once again be able to collaborate with the Provincial Council of Tourism, and to carry the image of the Alicante province around the world.’ The earlier “Nico Terol Race by Costa Blanca” campaign was presented at the race circuits of Aragón, Catalonia and the Valencian Community, which according to estimates reached over one and a half million people.
