“Diseño al plato” (Design on a plate) is a show that brings together prominent works by various graphic designers and industrialists belonging to the ADCV collective (Association of Designers in the Valencian Community) in the Cultural Centre of La Nau of the University of Valencia as part of Valencia Disseny Week. The event takes places alongside various parallel activities for the celebration of the second edition of Nos Vemos en Valencia at Feria Valencia . These works focus on the world of gastronomy and will be available to see until the 1st March.

For the graphics side, you can admire various projects that incorporate everything from the identity of a brand to the creation of signs, menus and menu boards with the participation of studios and professionals with long careers, such as Ramón Pérez Colomer or Josep Gil. Other participants in this section of the show include Odosdesign, Borja García, Alejandro Catalá, Magnet and Pixelarte, and it is equally outstanding the presence of designers with only young but already interesting careers such as is the case of Nueve Estudio, Mr. Simon, Yinsen and Totpoc.

The other half of “Diseño al plato” encompasses a three-way collaboration between designers, well-known chefs and Valencian artisans, working together to present 14 unique receptacles to contain 14 recipes created for the occasion. Amongst the participating studios are noteworthy names such as Jorge Herrera, Vicente Gallega, Joan Rojeski, Sanserif, Yonoh or Yolanda Herráiz. This initiative has relied upon the recipes, ideas specific to the occasion, by chefs such as Quique Barella (Q de Barella), Manolo Alonso (Casa Manolo), Victor Rodrigo (Samsha), Nacho Romero (Kaymus), Vicente Patiño (Saiti), Alejandro del Toro, Bernd Knöller (Riff) and Kiko Moya (L’Escaleta).
