Milan’s most recent Salone Internazionale del Mobile saw the display of a great number of the latest creations by internationally acclaimed Valencian designers.
Amongst the companies who displayed their most recent work in the Italian city, features Yonoh, a design studio formed by Carles Andreu, Álex Selma, Clara del Portillo and Juanma Aznar. Yonoh took advantage of this opportunity to bring several of their designs to the Lombardian capital, including Polo, a collection of chairs, armchairs and tables, designed with flat wood bars, by the Valencian company Capdell. Albeit its simple appearance, Polo stands out due to its bevelled finishes and the special curve of the back of the chair. The Valencian studio, together with Inclass, was responsible for Arc, a versatile chair with a steel rod structure, which was awarded by the iF –international forum for product design last year.
Odosdesign is a design studio from the city of Valencia, comprised by the designers Luis Calabuig, María Mengual and Ana Segovia. Together with the company Punt, they presented their chair design Tyris in Milan, an elegant and simple seat, adaptable for the residential market as well as for the furnishing of public and commercial spaces.
EstudiHac, firm led by the Valencian designer J.M. Ferrero, created two outstanding products for two leading companies. His collaboration with Vondom resulted in Marquis, an astonishing flowerpot stand characterized by geometrical influence. While EstudiHac’s continued collaboration with Sancal, led to a new stool to complete the Tea collection, which is characterized by its light yet solid structure and an ergonomic back.
Finally, the newest creations by the Valencian design studio Nadadora, for the aforementioned company Sancal, were also presented in Milan. Their featured design was Tartana, an acoustic dome providing some privacy in public spaces, by merging textile with ash wood.
